Region Collegiate Representative : Ingrid ArambulaHello, SWEsters! My name is Ingrid Arambula and I am a junior in chemical engineering at Texas Tech University. This is my second year being one of your Region Collegiate Representatives (RCR). In the past, I have held the positions of Section President and Outreach Chair. When I’m not slaving away at my studies, you can find me in the kitchen making smoothies and dehydrated snacks. I recently just bought a food dehydrator and so far experimenting on new foods hasn’t been too successful, but I’m working on it! Besides eating, I am training for my first ever Austin Marathon in February 2016! I’m a soccer player by background, but oh boy do I need to train hard for this! You can reach me at email@example.com or Ingrid.firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks!
Region Collegiate Representative: Liberty SchmidtI’m a mechanical and aerospace third year engineering student at the University of Texas at Arlington. I love watching movies and eating food with my friends. My SWE life started when my peer mentor at school invited me to a meeting, I came for the free food but stayed because I feel in love with the organization and possible experiences. When I get my sweet tooth, which happens a lot, I always go for Blue bell’s strawberry ice cream.
Region Collegiate Editor: Rajalakshmi RanganathanI am a Chemical Engineer for the University of Texas at Austin graduating in 2018. I’ve been in SWE for a year now, and I absolutely love it! I am a chocolate obsessed, but I love butter pecan ice cream the best. This year, I serve as RCCE. My main job is to keep this blog updated on what y’all are doing and keep y’all updated on what’s up in the Region and the Society. I am shamelessly asking y’all to send me fliers and updates on what your section is up to, so don’t let me down!
Region Collegiate Senator: Leslie ZhangI’m Leslie Zhang, a junior in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin (hook ’em everyday). This year, I’m serving as your Region Collegiate Senator, representing your voice in the Society Senate, which examines the governing structure and strategic priorities with a long-term perspective for the future direction of the Society. My past roles have included section awards chair, RCCE, and Region Conference Chair. In my free time, you’ll find me marathon training or pretending I know how to operate my DSLR. Fun fact: I have lost three pounds suffering from Blue Bell withdrawals.
Region C Conference Chair: Alexis LaMottHaley Barnes, and I am a junior at the University of North Texas studying Materials Science and Engineering. I am serving as a SWE Future Leader this year. I look forward to serving Region C and National SWE this year, and in the future I hope to continue serving SWE in other positions. I hope to earn my masters in Materials in a 4 +1 plan with UNT, and I also have the plans to attend University of Texas at Alrington in 2018 to begin my PhD in Biomedical Engineering/Tissue Engineering. I am currently Vice President of the UNT SWE Chapter. My favorite things in the world are Parks and Recreation and potatoes!
